Too Chic to Explain
A rearing horse cut from monogram canvas. That's the whole pitch, and it doesn't need a second one.
This one isn't a Boat and Tote. We built it on a medium waxed canvas body with full-grain leather handles and base — a heavier, darker, more grown-up frame for a piece that had no interest in being subtle.
The center is a rearing horse in profile, cut from repurposed monogram canvas and outlined in raised gold cording, mane and tail stitched in gold thread against the deep brown. Around him: an ace of spades in gold filigree, a monarch butterfly landing on its corner, a "Zero Given" badge in cream and rust, a "Sunset Rider" oval with a lone rider against a desert sunset, and a "Too Chic to Explain" bar patch in oxblood.
The charm stack hangs off the left with a brass clip — a gold-edged cowboy boot pieced from vintage plaid fabric, stacked over a leopard-print heart.
One of One means exactly that: the only piece we made like this. Once it's gone, it won't be made again.
