We started with a brand-new L.L.Bean Boat and Tote in the smaller size, natural canvas with tan trim, and covered it the way you'd cover a well-loved trail journal.

A moss green "Lady Liberty — Empire State of Mind" pennant runs across the top left, with a Grand Canyon America 250 Desert Odyssey badge below it in sunset orange and rust. Center is the woods: "Going to the Woods Is Going Home" over a stand of pines, plus a rainbow trout mid-jump and a small pine tree marker. On the right, an Outdoor mountain shield, a compass, a burnt-orange chenille "Stay Wild" pennant, and a gold-outlined star pieced in a soft blush print.

One of One means exactly that: the only piece we made like this. Once it's gone, it won't be made again.
