Rodeo Nights
New· L.L. Bean Medium Tote · One of One
Boots on. Lights up.
A roadside marquee, stitched big and bold across the front panel and set right over the handles like it’s been standing on the highway since the ’60s. The sign is worked in deep marigold yarn, ringed in chocolate brown with gold bulb lights running all the way around, and across the center, Cowgirl Club in white script. A cream arrow points the way: Rodeo Nights. Two white stars, a stone base, and a prickly pear growing up the side finish it off. Standing beside it, a green cowboy boot stitched in thick rope-textured yarn, with cream and gold flame inlays up the shaft and a stacked heel. It’s the boot that’s two-stepped every dance hall west of the Mississippi and is nowhere near ready to go home.
Off to the side, a yellow tab reads Ranch Hand Div. 6. Some people watch from the stands. Some people work the chutes.
Around it, the stuff that collects on a rodeo bag:
- A Rocky Mountain Rodeo seal, est. 1973, with a bronc rider against a gold sun and red rock peaks
- A tan horseshoe stamped Lucky, hanging from a yellow Grit tag, because it takes both
