A boombox, stitched big across the front panel and tipped at an angle, with its carry handle hooked right over the bag’s own strap like someone set it down mid-song. The body is worked in black, charcoal, and layered greys, with silver metallic thread catching the light through both speaker cones, the tuning band, and the trim. STEREO across the top, a row of buttons, and a cassette loaded dead center, wound back to the start of side A. It’s the one that played the same tape every night of that one summer and never wore it out.
Off to the side, a hot pink Admit One ticket edged in gold, stub still on. Some people remember the show. Some people keep the proof.
