Everything on this bag is something you'd bend down and pick up. It's a morning walk on the beach, stitched.
We started with a brand-new L.L.Bean Boat and Tote in the small size with navy trim — the classic proportions, and the color that makes shells read like shells.
The center is a full sand dollar in blush and cream with fine black line work, sized to fill the front panel. Above it, a sturgeon stitched in gold and charcoal, a "Stay Salty" speech bubble, and a captain's hat with a gold anchor. Flanking it: an open oyster on the half shell in pearl greys, a scallop in aqua and coral, a rope-edged ship's wheel with a navy sailboat, and a sunset surfboard with palms.
One of One means exactly that: the only piece we made like this. Once it's gone, it won't be made again.
