Good Luck
Western & Frontier Series · Vintage L.L. Bean Medium Tote · One of One
Some people make their own luck.
A burgundy felt pennant flies across the front panel, pinned right over the handle and reading Good Luck in bold turquoise. A silver horseshoe hangs open at the wide end, the right way up so nothing spills out, with a four-leaf clover tucked beside it and a pair of gold dice rolling toward the tip. It's every superstition you've ever kept, stitched into one flag.
Beside it, a tall cowboy boot in cream and saddle brown, the shaft scrolled in blush stitching and scattered with green clovers from top to heel. A boot that's been to the dance hall and back and never once stepped wrong.
Around it, the patches that collect over a long summer out west:
- A blush oval with a little willow tree, soft as a postcard
- A Painted Mesa Riding Club badge, a lone rider crossing the desert at sunset
- A Cedar Hollow Camp Counselor patch, for the one who always knew the way back to the cabins
- A turquoise cactus striped in rust and cream, rooted in a lucky horseshoe
On the back
The Wild Thread Expedition Society crest: a spool of thread set between the mountains, a trail winding down to meet it, bordered in gold and marked Chapter 19. A members-only badge for anyone who's ever taken the long road.
