As a bonus, I've included information about each of the animals you'll be stitching, like this about the polar bear:There are about 22,000 polar bears in the world. Canada is home to 60 percent of the population while the remaining bears live in Russia, Greenland, Norway and the United States (Alaska). The polar bear is one of the world’s largest predators. An adult male weighs an average 900-1300 lbs (400-600 kg) and may be 6.5-8 ft (2-2.5 m) long. His paw may be a foot (30 cm) wide. Females are slightly smaller. An adult polar bear’s only enemies are human hunters and sometimes, other polar bears. However, global warming and pollution are putting the continued survival of these magnificent animals in jeopardy. |
